                                      Andrew  the  Apostle


Matthew 4: 18  -  And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers.

Brother of Simon (aka Peter)

Mark 1: 21   - And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

Mark 1: 29   - And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

He Lived in Capernaum, when they met Jesus

John 1: 44  - Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Born in Bethsaida

John 1: 35, 36, 40  -  Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;  (36)   And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!  (40)   One of the two which heard John [speak], and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

Disciple of John the Baptist

John 1: 41, 42   -  He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. (42)   And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. 

Brings people to Jesus

John 6: 8, 9    -   One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,  (9) There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? 

John 12: 20-22  -  And when he had so said, he showed unto them [his] hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.  (21)   Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you.  (22)   And when he had said this, he breathed on [them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
