Example Two: Romans 13: 1 The Government is given its authority by God, we must obey man's laws
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." Romans 13: 1 |
SoP Quotation: There is a prospect before us of a continued struggle, at the risk of imprisonment, loss of property, and even of life itself, to defend the law of God, which is made void by the laws of men. In this situation worldly policy will urge an outward compliance with the laws of the land, for the sake of peace and harmony. Example Three: Romans 3: 21 to 26

EGW quotes this Scripture: The apostle, continuing, referred directly to the comparisons that had been made between his labors and those of Apollos: “These things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is (p.277) written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.
